Earlier that day, Ms. Thanh Mai confirmed to Tuoi Tre Online the news of her husband's death. She stated that the reason for Mr. Phuc's passing was old age and declining health.
Teacher, director, and actor Nguyen Van Phuc was born in 1937 in Hanoi . He is an outstanding teacher and former vice principal of Theatre School 2 (now the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film).
He is the author of the book "The Art of Stage and Film Performance ," published by the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House.

He has taught many actors and directors who have become famous today, such as Cong Ninh, Quyen Linh, Minh Nhi, Dai Nghia, Trung Dan, My Khanh, Duc Thinh, Truong Giang, and others.
His students all loved him – a teacher who was not only skilled in his profession but also cared deeply for his students. After retiring, he was retained at the school and continued his teaching career.
Director Le Hung Phuong sadly recounted his memories of his teacher: "At that time, I was the class president of K15, acting department. He loved his students very much. Every time he came to class, he taught vividly and updated his teaching methods because he had studied abroad in Bulgaria."
"He didn't impose on anyone what to perform right or wrong, nor did he demonstrate on stage; instead, he let his students be creative with their characters. People even say he's a gifted teacher, having produced students who later became famous."
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc directed dozens of television plays for HTV. Among them was the famous play "The Inspector," adapted from a foreign play. His play "The Child from a Past Life," a folk comedy he directed for the experimental theater of his school before he went to university, was also very popular.
As an actor, although not a leading actor and not appearing in many films, Mr. Phuc always delivers a compelling performance in every role he plays. "Even If the Wind Blows " is one of his longer films. His portrayal of a loving, responsible father with a Northern accent resonated with the audience.
