Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, the mother of President Ho Chi Minh, was born in a land rich in revolutionary traditions and a love of learning; the ancestral home of the Hoang family is in Van Noi village, Hong Tien commune, Khoai Chau district. She embodied the noble qualities of a traditional Vietnamese woman: diligent, kind, resilient, hardworking, and wholeheartedly devoted to her husband and children.

To show respect and honor her great contributions, in 2003, the People's Committee of Hung Yen province decided to start the construction of a church (now a memorial house) on the land of Van Noi village, Hong Tien commune.

The memorial house dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh's mother in Hung Yen is classified as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the renovated and restored Hoang Thi Loan Memorial House.

The building, with its strong traditional architectural features, harmonizes with the space and landscape of the Northern Delta countryside. Located within the former grounds of Van Noi village communal house, it covers a total area of 4,377.6 square meters and was inaugurated in 2005.

This is one of the province's important projects, a practical way to celebrate the 16th Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee. It is a place where people from all walks of life, both inside and outside the province, come to offer incense, visit, remember, and express their respect and admiration for the admirable qualities and lifelong sacrifices for their husbands and children, and for the great dedication of President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnamese nation.

On July 26, 2023, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed Decision No. 1555/QD-CTUBND classifying the Memorial House of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan in Hong Tien commune, Khoai Chau district, as a provincial-level historical relic.

The memorial house dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh's mother in Hung Yen is classified as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic (level 2).

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province presented the Certificate of Ranking as a Provincial-Level Historical Monument to the Memorial House of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan.

After nearly 20 years of use, some parts of the historical site have deteriorated. Therefore, in order to preserve, protect, and promote the values of the site, with the attention of the provincial leaders and departments, in early 2024, the People's Committee of Khoai Chau district implemented the Project to restore and renovate the Memorial House of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan.

After six months of construction, with a sense of responsibility, determination, effort, and overcoming difficulties, the restoration and renovation of the main structures and auxiliary works of the Hoang Thi Loan Memorial House have now been completed.

In a solemn atmosphere, speaking at the ceremony, Hung Yen Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia acknowledged and praised the efforts of Khoai Chau district and local authorities in preserving and promoting the value of the Hoang Thi Loan Memorial House historical site.

At the same time, it is requested that Khoai Chau district and Hong Tien commune continue to strengthen the management, preservation, and promotion of the value of the historical site in accordance with the Law on Cultural Heritage and related regulations. In particular, the Memorial House is a place for educating the younger generation and the people about patriotism; and a destination for tourists.

Also at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van presented the Certificate recognizing the Hoang Thi Loan Memorial House as a Provincial-level Historical Monument to the representative of the Khoai Chau district leadership.
