Van Noi village is a rural area with a rich cultural and revolutionary tradition. It is home to the historical and cultural relic of the Memorial House of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, mother of President Ho Chi Minh – a cultural site with profound educational significance regarding the historical roots of Vietnam; it is respected and preserved by the people and local authorities.
To promote and enhance the historical and cultural value, the local authorities have decided to expand the historical site. After evaluation and discussion, the local authorities proposed relocating Hung Khanh Pagoda, which is adjacent to the historical site, to a planned area of nearly 4,300 m² .
Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai, Party Secretary and Head of Van Noi village, said: Hung Khanh Pagoda currently covers over 1,000 square meters and serves as a religious center for the local people. However, the entire land area of the current pagoda is located within the planned expansion area of the Hoang Thi Loan Memorial House historical and cultural relic site. To implement the expansion plan, the local authorities have met with the pagoda and organized awareness campaigns to inform the villagers about the purpose and significance of relocating the pagoda and expanding the relic site. After the awareness campaign and gathering public opinion, the pagoda and nearly 98% of the households in Van Noi village agree to the relocation and reconstruction of Hung Khanh Pagoda at the new location, and they hope for the early implementation of the relic site expansion project.
Mr. Hoang Van Ngoc, a resident of Van Noi village, said: "When we heard the news that the pagoda needed to be moved to a new location and the historical site was being expanded, my family was very happy and fully supported the local government's plan. This is an opportunity for the historical sites in the area to be renovated, restored, upgraded, and built to be bigger and more beautiful. This will not only enhance the status of the site but also elevate its significance." The value of these historical sites not only increases but also creates highlights to attract tourists from all over to visit, explore , and experience them…
After consulting with the residents, 11 citizens, owning nearly 3,385 m² of agricultural land out of a total of nearly 4,300 m² within the area to be acquired for the construction of the new Hung Khanh Pagoda, still submitted petitions expressing concerns about whether relocating the pagoda to a new site was truly appropriate, and whether they would be compensated for the land acquisition. After being informed about the significance of relocating and rebuilding a more spacious and beautiful pagoda, as well as the State's regulations on land acquisition, two households voluntarily withdrew their petitions.
To expedite the relocation of Hung Khanh Pagoda and the expansion of the historical and cultural relic site of the Hoang Thi Loan Memorial House, on September 15th, the People's Committee of Viet Tien commune held a dialogue to listen to, inform, and address the opinions and requests of the households in Van Noi village. Simultaneously, they continued to widely disseminate information about the purpose and significance of relocating and rebuilding Hung Khanh Pagoda, aiming to create strong consensus. of the local people so that the project to restore and expand the historical site can be implemented soon.
