On December 10th, 32 sets of medals were awarded, and Vietnamese sports have reason to be hopeful in many important disciplines.
Canoeing promises a brilliant performance from Nguyen Thi Huong, who will compete in two events: the women's 500m, a sport she has dominated in Southeast Asia. Nguyen Thi Huong also made an appearance and left her mark at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Taekwondo enters 6 finals starting at 2 PM, where Vietnamese sports remain the top contender despite strong competition from host country Thailand.
Swimming featured qualifying rounds in the morning and finals at 6 PM, highlighted by Tran Hung Nguyen in the men's 200m individual medley and other hopefuls such as Jeremie Luong and Nguyen Quang Thuan.
Jujitsu placed high hopes on Dao Hong Son to make his mark in the men's 62kg category. In addition, Vietnamese sports added medals in petanque, mountain biking, and qualifying events in badminton, chess, and esports.
