Numerous events were held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province.

On the afternoon of March 4th, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a press conference to announce activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).

Mr. Phan Thai Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, co-chaired the press conference.

Speaking at the press conference, Phan Thai Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, said that the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam Province is of paramount importance, serving as a broad political activity for the entire Party and people in the province. Therefore, thorough preparation and activities are necessary to ensure quality.

At the same time, Mr. Phan Thai Binh requested that departments, agencies, and localities be responsible for carrying out their assigned tasks; develop thorough plans and programs to implement and direct effectively and with quality, creating a vibrant atmosphere and mobilizing the people's participation and response.

At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, announced that the 50th anniversary celebration of the Liberation of Quang Nam province will take place at 8 PM on March 24th at 24/3 Square, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam province, with the participation of over 1,000 delegates including: leaders of the Party and State, central agencies, representatives of generals who are natives of Quang Nam; provincial leaders from various periods and delegates from all walks of life in Quang Nam province.

“This celebration aims to review the glorious traditions of the Provincial Party Committee, introduce the great achievements in economics, culture and society, national defense, security, and foreign affairs… that the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Nam have achieved after 50 years of liberation; encourage and create motivation to compete in achieving accomplishments to welcome the Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 23rd Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, promote the spirit of unity, dedication, aspiration to rise, and determination to build Quang Nam province into an increasingly developed province,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong added that the highlight of this celebration is the special art program and high-altitude fireworks display to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

In addition to the commemorative program, other events include: repairing and upgrading martyrs' cemeteries and historical relics; implementing policies for those who have rendered meritorious services: From January 2025 to March 2025, agencies, units, and localities will organize "gratitude and repayment" activities; visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, wounded and sick soldiers, policy beneficiary families, and families who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution.

In addition, the plan includes organizing exhibitions and displays showcasing the socio-economic achievements of Quang Nam province after 50 years of liberation; introducing characteristic products and OCOP products; showcasing the achievements of the armed forces of Quang Nam province; holding the Quang Nam 2025 International Travel Conference with the theme "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Sky Gate Heritage Route: Where nature harmonizes with culture" on March 8th; and simultaneously organizing thematic activities on the purpose, content, and methods of building united, prosperous, and happy residential areas; as well as seminars, cultural and artistic activities, and sports events in villages, residential areas, and neighborhoods throughout the province from February to March 2025.
