Revenue from multi-level businesses in Hai Duong reaches over 500 billion VND annually

The remaining 10 enterprises with representative offices in Hai Duong are Herbalife Vietnam One Member Co., Ltd. (Binh Han Ward), AmWay Vietnam (Quang Trung Ward), Nu Skin Enterprises Vietnam (Tran Phu Ward), Seacret (Ngoc Chau Ward), Elken In (Hai Tan Ward), Kyowon The Orm Vietnam (Ngoc Chau Ward) (both in Hai Duong City), Gcop Vietnam (Le Ninh Commune, Kinh Mon), Oriflame Vietnam (Thanh Giang Commune, Thanh Mien) and Vietnam Joint Stock Company (Le Thanh Nghi Ward, Hai Duong City). These enterprises are headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Binh Duong. In the same period of 2023, most multi-level marketing enterprises in Hai Duong did not have representative offices in the locality.

Unicity Marketing Vietnam Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City but currently has no branch or representative office in Hai Duong.

Multi-level marketing is a business activity that uses a network of participants with many levels and branches. Multi-level marketing must meet the conditions and be carried out in accordance with legal regulations.

The Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Duong province further informed that the enterprises confirmed to operate multi-level marketing in Hai Duong mainly trade in functional foods, cosmetics, household appliances, etc. The annual revenue from multi-level marketing enterprises in Hai Duong reaches more than 500 billion VND.

According to Decree No. 18/2023/ND-CP dated April 28, 2023 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 40/ND-CP dated March 12, 2018 on management of multi-level marketing business activities, to be confirmed for local sales activities, enterprises must meet 1 of 4 criteria including: Having a headquarters or branch or representative office in the locality; for enterprises without headquarters, branches, representative offices or business locations in the locality, they must appoint a local contact point and this contact point must be trained, pass a knowledge test and be certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to be able to act as a contact point for the enterprise.
