Thanh Nhã returns to the Vietnamese women's national team.
The Vietnamese women's national team will reconvene tomorrow (July 13) after a week of rest, to continue training in preparation for the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship (AFF Cup 2025), which will take place in Vietnam in early August.
Notably, midfielder Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha is returning to the squad summoned by coach Mai Duc Chung. The winger, born in 2001, missed the training camp in Japan in June and the 2026 Asian Cup qualifiers due to not having fully recovered from injury.
Thanh Nhã has been undergoing rehabilitation training to regain her feel for the ball. After three months of hard work, the 24-year-old player will return to the Vietnamese women's national team to continue competing for a position.

In addition, young center-back Le Thi Bao Tram (born in 2004) has also been called up to the Vietnamese women's national team for the first time. Bao Tram wore the captain's armband for the Vietnam U.20 women's team under coach Akira Ijiri from 2023 to 2024. She is one of the most promising center-backs in youth football, thanks to her ability to read situations and make good judgments.
Bao Tram, along with Luong Thi Thu Thuong and Le Thi Diem My, formed a solid defense, helping the Than Khoang San Vietnam women's team win the 2024 National Cup.

Ready for the AFF Cup 2025
In the coaching staff, head coach Mai Duc Chung continues to have the important support of fitness coach Brandi Jose Regato Neto, along with experienced assistants Doan Minh Hai, Doan Thi Kim Chi, Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, and the doctors.
According to the plan, the team members will check in and settle into their accommodations at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center on the morning of July 13th, and then have their first training session on the field that afternoon.
The national women's team will stay here for a week before moving to Quang Ninh for a 10-day training camp. It is expected that on July 30th, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will arrive in Hai Phong , completing their final preparations before participating in the AFF Cup 2025, which will take place from August 6th to 19th.
As the host of Group A, Huynh Nhu and her teammates will face Cambodia, Indonesia, and Thailand on August 6th, 9th, and 12th respectively at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong).
Following their achievement of qualifying for the 2026 Asian Cup, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are now aiming to compete for the top spot in this year's Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship.
