NTO - Launching the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, 8th term, 2023

On the afternoon of December 26th, the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Association conducted one of its important agenda items: electing the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association for the 8th term, 2023-2028.

Under the chairmanship of the President of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, Luong Quoc Doan, the Congress proceeded with the procedures to elect the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association for the eighth term.

The Congress elected 111 members to the Executive Committee. This includes members from the Central Committee of the Association; leaders of the Farmers' Associations in provinces and cities; central ministries and agencies; scientists ; business representatives and associations; cooperatives; and exemplary farmer members...

The proportion of female Executive Committee members is approximately 25%; the proportion of Executive Committee members from ethnic minorities is 11%. The age structure is as follows: approximately 15% are under 45 years old, approximately 50% are between 45 and 55 years old, and approximately 35% are over 55 years old...

A key highlight of the 8th term of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association is the reduction in the number of Central Executive Committee members and the increase in the number of business enterprises. The number of agricultural and agricultural product consumption businesses will increase, contributing to strengthened cooperation and linkages to help farmers produce and conduct business more effectively.

The 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, for the term 2023-2028, was attended by 995 official delegates, who are exemplary farmers and association members, representing the will, aspirations, and wisdom of more than 10 million farmers and association members nationwide.
