Female student shares her secrets to graduating as valedictorian after 3 years of study.

This morning, April 20th, Le Thi Bich Dao, a new graduate in International Economics with a GPA of 3.79/4.00, achieving excellent grades and becoming the valedictorian, was honored at the graduation ceremony of Saigon International University.

Instead of studying for four years like her classmates, Dao only took three years to complete her program.

Dao said: "I want to finish my studies early so I can enter the job market sooner and make the most of my time at university to develop myself."

Bich Dao was both an outstanding high school student and an excellent university graduate, ranking valedictorian.

Entering her first semester of her freshman year, Dao decided to study to familiarize herself with the university environment. From the second semester onwards, she began registering for more courses. Instead of 5-6 courses per semester, Dao took 8-9 courses. "This means I have to focus a lot of time and effort to complete them," the student said.

Accordingly, Dao spends her days at school from morning to afternoon. On days when she doesn't have classes, she goes to the library to study and read, or participates in extracurricular activities. Despite her busy schedule, in the evenings, Dao still works part-time as a tutor and waitress at a Japanese restaurant to gain practical experience and hone her skills.

"There were peak times when I had to stay up all night to work on course reports, meet deadlines, and prepare for semester exams… However, I tried to turn the pressure into motivation to achieve my goals," Dao recounted.

Notably, right after her internship at the end of her third year, Dao was hired by the company. Currently, she is a full-time employee in the position of customer manager.

Sharing her secret to accelerating her studies while still achieving excellent grades and securing a job even before graduation, Dao said: "Time management skills are crucial because you face a packed schedule. Therefore, you must know how to plan and schedule each day, week, and semester to complete each task without feeling overwhelmed. Besides that, I think students should participate in many activities and gain as much experience as possible to acquire more skills and knowledge."

For difficult subjects, this female student said she often applies an active learning method by actively participating in group discussions, exploring additional resources outside of textbooks, etc. After each exam or test, Dao always takes time to review what she has done well and what she hasn't, and then adjusts her learning approach accordingly.

Furthermore, Dao believes that if students want to accelerate their studies, they must assess whether they can handle an additional 3-4 courses each semester, as the specialized curriculum is very demanding and requires strong learning and organizational skills.

Reportedly, Dao is a former student of Thang Long Specialized High School (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province) with an overall GPA above 9 for all three years. She won second prize in the provincial physics competition for gifted students and was part of the national physics team. Thanks to this achievement, Dao was awarded a scholarship by Saigon International University, covering 100% of her tuition fees and providing a living allowance of 80 million VND throughout her studies.

As the top graduate, Dao was awarded a scholarship for a talented master's program, covering 100% of tuition fees and providing a monthly living allowance of 15 million VND.

"I plan to work for a while to gain experience and then return to school to pursue a master's degree," the top-scoring student shared.
