On the afternoon of October 21st, the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association held a meeting of its Executive Committee to elect key personnel and set directions for activities in late 2025.

The conference is an important event to consolidate the organizational structure of the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association after the merger, contributing to guiding activities and protecting the rights of members of the Journalists Association operating in the province.

The conference was held in both in-person and online formats. Attendees included Mr. Le Huy Toan, Provincial Party Committee member and Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio, and Television; Mr. Hoang Manh Thang, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Ms. Khuc Thi Thoi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Phan Huu Dung, Deputy Head of the Organization and Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province...

Mr. Le Van Toa, former Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association, congratulated the key personnel of the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association Executive Committee after the merger.

The Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association was established by merging the Journalists Associations of three provinces: Lam Dong, Binh Thuan , and Dak Nong. Currently, the merged Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association has over 600 members, and its Executive Committee has 27 members.

At the conference, the Executive Committee of the Journalists Association elected the key personnel of the Provincial Journalists Association's Executive Committee.

Accordingly, Mr. Le Huy Toan, Provincial Party Committee member and Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television, was appointed Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association; Mr. Vu Ngoc Tu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television, were appointed Vice-Chairmen of the Provincial Journalists Association.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Toa, former Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association, congratulated the three newly elected members of the Provincial Journalists Association's Executive Committee after the merger.

At the same time, Mr. Le Van Toa expressed his wish for the Executive Committee of the Journalists Association to soon finalize personnel, invest in purchasing office equipment for the Association's office to have better operating conditions; continue to maintain and effectively implement the international foreign relations program, especially the friendly relations with the Thai Local Media Association; and cooperate with journalists and historical researchers to continue writing the 80-year history of journalism in Lam Dong...

He stated that this is both an honor and a great responsibility.

On behalf of the newly elected key officials in the Executive Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association after the merger, Mr. Le Huy Toan pledged to work with the Executive Committee to quickly bring the Association's activities into order, promote the role of journalists on the political and ideological fronts, and contribute to the overall development of the province; to continue to uphold the traditions of the Provincial Journalists Association, and to expand membership, especially resident reporters working in the province.

Following the merger, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Journalists Association will continue to publish special editions, organize spring press conferences, implement a project to support the creation of high-quality journalistic works, and organize professional training courses and professional activities to improve the skills and expertise of the Association's members.
