On the morning of October 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision on personnel work. In it, Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's agencies.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee appointed Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies for the 2025-2030 term.

Previously, at the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, the Politburo announced the decision of Mr. Le Quoc Phong to cease participating in the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee and cease holding the position of Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020-2025 to participate in the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong was born in 1978, hometown Hanoi, professional qualifications: PhD in biotechnology, master's degree in biochemistry, bachelor's degree in biology , senior degree in political theory.

Before becoming the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Le Quoc Phong held many positions in the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the Central Youth Union, Dong Thap province and participated in the Party Central Committee of the 12th and 13th terms.

Mr. Phong has a process of studying, working and growing up from the Youth Union movement in Ho Chi Minh City. He participated in the Youth Union activities since he was a student at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, studied and worked at the University of Natural Sciences - Ho Chi Minh City National University.
