On the morning of October 26th, the Thanh Khe District Police ( Da Nang City) announced that they had temporarily seized all goods of unknown origin and provenance at a facility processing fried fermented pork rolls and fried chicken wings.
Earlier, at 10:35 AM on October 24th, the Economic and Environmental Police Team of Thanh Khe District Police raided Pho Food business located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (Thanh Khe Dong Ward, Thanh Khe District), owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Hien.
At this time, the Economic and Environmental Police Team caught the facility's employees red-handed processing and producing food without wearing full protective work clothing, gloves, or helmets as required by regulations.
Chicken wings ready for cooking
The food business was found in possession of 75 packages of fermented pork sausage and 9 packages of unlabeled frying batter. The owner was unable to produce any legal documents proving the origin and source of these food products.
In addition, there were many chicken wings and fermented pork rolls in the process of being prepared for cooking; the processing area did not meet food safety standards.
Goods and raw materials were seized.
Meanwhile, this establishment advertises on social media that it sells fast food, self-proclaiming itself as "the largest in Central Vietnam".
The Economic and Environmental Police Team stated that, during an inspection of compliance with environmental protection and food safety laws, the business owner presented a Business Registration Certificate issued by the Finance and Planning Department of Thanh Khe District on September 23, 2016, with the 5th amendment registered on March 15, 2023, and a Food Safety Certificate issued by the Economic Department of Thanh Khe District on April 1, 2022.
A fast-food processing facility was found to be operating without meeting food safety standards.
The establishment has been operating a food processing facility producing fried fermented pork rolls and fried chicken wings since March 2023. The Economic and Environmental Police team compared the registered business activities of the establishment, which is food trading, and found that the establishment had not registered any changes to its business registration certificate as required by law.
Therefore, the Economic and Environmental Police Team has compiled an administrative violation report and temporarily seized all the fried fermented pork rolls, chicken wings, raw materials, etc., to continue verification and processing in accordance with the law.
