Accordingly, the Steering Committee for Price Management will be restructured, with Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc as its chairman.

The Minister of Finance is the Deputy Head of the Committee.

The members of the Price Management Steering Committee include:

1. Mr. Le Tan Can, Deputy Minister of Finance;

2. Ms. Mai Thi Thu Van, Deputy Head of the Government Office ;

3. Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade;

4. Mr. Tran Quoc Phuong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment;

5. Mr. Le Duc Luan, Deputy Minister of Health;

6. Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Deputy Minister of Education and Training;

7. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang, Deputy Minister of Transport;

8. Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development;

9. Mr. Le Tan Dung, Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs;

10 - Mr. Bui Xuan Dung, Deputy Minister of Construction;

11. Mr. Le Minh Ngan, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment;

12. Mr. Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam;

13. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Director General of the General Statistics Office.

The members of the Steering Committee for Price Management, as named above, exercise their powers and responsibilities in accordance with the Law on Prices, Government Decree No. 85/2024/ND-CP dated July 10, 2024, detailing some provisions of the Law on Prices, Clauses 2 and 3 of Article 6 of Decision No. 690/QD-TTg dated May 11, 2014, of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Steering Committee for Price Management, and Decision No. 60/QD-BCDDHG ​​dated September 15, 2014, of the Head of the Steering Committee for Price Management on the promulgation of the Regulations on the operation of the Steering Committee for Price Management.

The Ministry of Finance, as the permanent agency of the Steering Committee for Price Management, is responsible for monitoring the implementation of tasks assigned by the Committee members as stipulated in the Committee's conclusions on price management in each period, and for compiling the results and reporting them to the Steering Committee at its meetings. The Minister of Finance – Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Price Management – ​​is responsible for consolidating the membership of the Steering Committee's support group as stipulated in point d, clause 1, Article 6 of Decision No. 60/BCĐĐHG dated September 15, 2014, issued by the Head of the Steering Committee for Price Management, on the promulgation of the Regulations on the operation of the Steering Committee for Price Management.

The allocation of funds for the Steering Committee's activities is carried out in accordance with Article 7 of Decision No. 690/QD-TTg dated May 11, 2014, of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Steering Committee for Price Management. Specific activities are subject to the expenditure rates for the compilation, analysis, and forecasting of market prices as stipulated in Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BTC dated May 16, 2024, of the Minister of Finance, which regulates the compilation, analysis, and forecasting of market prices and the funding for this work, as well as the expenditure rates in relevant legal documents.

This decision takes effect from the date of signing and replaces Decision No. 1618/QD-TTg dated September 24, 2021 of the Prime Minister on the restructuring of the Steering Committee for Price Management.

* The Steering Committee for Price Management is tasked with researching and assisting the Prime Minister in considering, approving, or deciding on major policies and directions for price management in each period; implementing synchronized policies on the prices of important and essential goods and services; deciding on specific price management measures for a number of important and essential goods and services as appropriate in each period; and implementing price stabilization measures for important and essential goods and services.

The Steering Committee also assists the Prime Minister in directing ministries, agencies, and provincial and city People's Committees to implement state management of prices in accordance with the Government's goals and requirements for controlling inflation and stabilizing the macroeconomy in each period; and handles other issues related to price management of some important and essential goods and services when assigned by the Prime Minister…
