Following the merger, Phu Binh commune has identified the need to leverage its potential and opportunities to promote local industry, creating momentum for economic growth linked to sustainable development. The focus is on light industry, maintaining traditional craft villages, cooperatives, and encouraging entrepreneurship.

The local economic structure is clearly shifting towards a rapid increase in the proportion of industry and handicrafts, with sectors such as food processing, wood, handicrafts, mechanical processing, and building materials…

In recent years, numerous new investment projects have been established, along with a convenient transportation network, creating further impetus for local development. The People's Committee of the commune has taken advantage of central and provincial industrial promotion funds to implement projects supporting rural industrial establishments and craft villages in applying new technologies and improving productivity and product quality. These policies have helped many households change their production mindset, boldly invest in modern machinery, expand production scale, and thus improve business efficiency.

Phu Binh focuses on developing small-scale handicraft villages through supporting production and consumption linkages, contributing to improved operational efficiency; typical examples include Phuong Do fine art wood carving village, Uc Ky sticky rice soy sauce village, Thau Dau sticky rice farming cooperative, and Binh Minh agricultural cooperative producing clean vegetables...

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuong, owner of Phuong Do woodworking production facility : Along with economic development, members of the craft village have adapted flexibly, expanded production, and supported villagers in changing professions, helping to increase income. Currently, the craft village maintains stability with 48 members.

Phu Binh's labor structure has also shifted significantly towards increased industry and services, while agriculture has gradually decreased. Following the province's policy, the commune has proactively planned land use, attracting industrial clusters and investment projects. Many households have boldly shifted towards commercial and service businesses.

Ms. Duong Thi Huong, owner of the Uc Ky sticky rice soy sauce production facility, shared: "Thanks to the convenient infrastructure and transportation, my family has the opportunity to expand production. On average, we sell more than 3,000 liters of soy sauce to the market each month, ensuring our livelihood and increasing our income."

According to assessments, Phu Binh's economic structure has undergone positive transformation, with industry and construction accounting for 64.8%; services 17.4%; and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries 17.8%. Currently, there are two licensed industrial clusters in the area: Hanh Phuc - Xuan Phuong (over 77 hectares) and Bao Ly - Xuan Phuong (Phase 1), with approximately 40 hectares of land cleared and factories under construction. These projects are expected to create large-scale production centers and attract more local labor.

Industrial projects and clusters in Phu Binh commune are creating momentum to promote the shift in the local economic structure.

In addition, the commune has 85 enterprises and nearly 3,500 production and business establishments. The value of small-scale industrial and service production is estimated to reach over 1,500 billion VND in 2025. Approximately 10 residential and urban development projects are underway, contributing to increased budget revenue and creating jobs for more than 2,300 workers. These projects not only promote growth but also change the face of the rural area, gradually forming civilized and modern residential areas.

Comrade Duong Quang Bao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Phu Binh commune: After implementing the two-tiered local government model, the commune quickly stabilized its apparatus and concretized the resolution into practical programs and plans. The commune identified industry as the spearhead in the economic sector, driving the development of services, construction, and agriculture.

In 2025, the province approved the investment plan for the Phu Binh Industrial Park with a scale of 675 hectares, of which the commune has approximately 22 hectares of industrial land. In addition, Phu Binh continues to maintain and develop traditional craft villages, providing distinctive products to the market and increasing income for local people.

Phu Binh commune aims to achieve an average income of 98 million VND/person/year by 2030; a 12.5% annual increase in budget revenue; a 10.5% or higher annual increase in industrial value; and virtually no more poor households before 2030. The commune is determined to implement three breakthroughs: focusing on land clearance and attracting investment; promoting administrative reform linked to digital transformation; and building a team of officials and civil servants who dare to innovate, be creative, and confront difficulties.

With clear economic restructuring steps, Phu Binh is opening up a new direction of development, creating a solid driving force on the path of industrialization and modernization of rural areas.
