According to information from the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on July 20th, Phu Tho province will continue to experience moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain, posing a risk of flash floods and landslides in several districts.
From 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM on July 20th, moderate to heavy rain occurred across the province. Soil moisture models indicate that some areas in the province have reached near-saturation levels of over 85% or have already reached saturation.

Over the next few hours, the province will continue to experience rain with accumulated rainfall generally ranging from 10-30mm, and in some areas exceeding 50mm. There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes in many districts, including Cam Khe, Doan Hung, Lam Thao, Phu Ninh, Tam Nong, Thanh Ba, Thanh Son, Thanh Thuy, Yen Lap, Phu Tho town, and Viet Tri city. The warning level for natural disaster risk due to flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence caused by rain or runoff is Level 1.
Localized heavy rainfall can cause flash floods and landslides, leading to very serious impacts on the environment, affecting human lives, agricultural production, causing localized traffic congestion, disrupting the movement of vehicles, uprooting trees, damaging houses, transportation infrastructure, and other facilities.
