Phu Tho informs about personnel preparation for the Provincial Party Congress

The Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress will not elect a new Party Committee. The Politburo will appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On September 24th, the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to provide information about the First Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, which will take place on September 29th and 30th.

This was the first congress after the merger of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh , with the participation of 500 delegates representing more than 257,000 party members from 152 party committees under the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee.

According to the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, some new points in the Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress include the absence of elections for a new Party committee and delegates to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Politburo will appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, Chairman, and Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term, and will also appoint delegates to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Secondly, the new Provincial Party Committee's personnel structure will include over 6% of cadres with scientific and technological qualifications. This is a new policy of the Party to achieve the goal of breakthrough development in science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Thirdly, due to the characteristics of the newly merged province, which has an area of ​​over 9,000 ^km² and 148 communes and wards, organizing the meeting over three days would be both costly and arduous for the delegates. Therefore, the Standing Committee of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee moved the discussion of the official session to the afternoon after the morning preparatory session to save time and money.

Regarding personnel preparations for the Provincial Party Congress, the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee announced that the Politburo and the Secretariat have unanimously approved the personnel plan for the First Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The total number of members of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Board who meet the qualifications and conditions for re-election is 97. The total number of members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee who meet the qualifications and conditions for re-election is 27. The total number of members of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee who meet the age requirements for re-election is 13.

According to the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, although the Provincial Party Congress this term did not elect personnel at the congress but rather appointed them by the Politburo, the Provincial Party Committee and its Standing Committee still paid special attention to this matter.

The implementation process is strictly followed in the three steps stipulated in Directive No. 45-CT/TW, dated April 14, 2025, of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The guiding principle in developing personnel plans is to ensure that no truly virtuous and talented individuals are overlooked. At the same time, we are determined to prevent those with weak political resolve, wavering attitudes, inconsistencies in the Party's line and viewpoints, declining moral character, competence, and prestige, poor organizational discipline, disunity, and those who evade, shirk responsibility, and are afraid to act, from being elected to the new Party committees.
