According to official statistics from the European Football Federation (UEFA), PSG has set an unprecedented record by becoming the first team in Champions League history to score 40 or more goals in a single calendar year.

Specifically, with their overwhelming 7-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on October 22nd, PSG has increased their total number of goals in this prestigious competition to 45 in 2025 alone, an astonishing achievement that far surpasses any other major club that has previously dominated Europe.
This record was previously held by Man Utd for 23 years, starting in 2002. At that time, the "Red Devils" scored 38 goals under manager Alex Ferguson.
In particular, PSG still have three more European matches before the end of 2025. If they maintain their current incredible goal-scoring performance, the Parisian club has the potential to reach an "unimaginable" new milestone in the Champions League.
Under the guidance of coach Luis Enrique, PSG is showcasing an overwhelming, direct attacking style of play while maintaining tight control. The French representatives, as the reigning champions of the tournament, are clearly demonstrating their ambition to defend their top European position.
Speaking after the match, coach Luis Enrique expressed satisfaction but maintained a humble attitude: “We not only wanted to score goals, but also wanted to defend the title. The team's goal is to retain the Champions League trophy for another season.”

The crushing victory against Leverkusen not only helped PSG solidify their position at the top of the table but also served as a resounding affirmation, proving the peak form and absolute strength that the Parisian club possesses in the European arena.
