Luong Son Pass boasts a captivating beauty with its smooth, winding roads, flanked by mountains on one side and the azure sea on the other.
Since the mountain pass road was completed, many locals have flocked here to exercise, cycle, enjoy the breeze, and admire the scenery… As a result, makeshift stalls and shops have sprung up quickly to sell their wares.
A makeshift fast-food stall has sprung up on Luong Son Pass, Nha Trang City.
According to observations, there are currently 4-5 restaurants along the road that place tables and chairs on the sidewalk or near rocky outcrops so that customers can easily enjoy a direct view of the sea. Many tables are placed quite precariously, even right next to deep cliffs, while these areas are not shielded or marked with warning signs of danger.
Many large-displacement motorcycles are parked haphazardly along the Luong Son mountain pass.
In addition, the haphazard parking of customers also poses a traffic safety risk, as most motorbikes, bicycles, and even large-displacement motorcycles are parked on the roadside.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Thang (Nha Trang), who often cycles for exercise on this mountain pass, said that sometimes the shops are crowded with people eating and drinking, shouting loudly. At times, cars and motorbikes are parked haphazardly, posing a danger to those traveling along the pass.

Not to mention the environmental pollution from daily littering and the food safety and hygiene issues of the aforementioned makeshift food stalls.
Notably, many websites promoting Luong Son Pass have freely "advertised" these impromptu sidewalk food stalls as very "attractive" to customers, such as offering shrimp rice paper rolls with fish sauce for just 5,000 VND, or grilled dried squid or hot stir-fried corn for 15,000 VND... "Sitting in the middle of the pass, enjoying snacks and chatting with friends is a rather novel experience in the coastal city of Nha Trang," wrote one travel website.
The unauthorized stalls and shops that have sprung up on Luong Son Pass have been around for a long time, but for some reason, the local authorities have not taken any action to regulate them.
