Quang Nam seeks solutions for effective planning

On October 31, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a workshop on tasks and solutions to effectively implement the planning of Quang Nam province until 2030.

Most experts believe that Quang Nam needs to make priority choices in the planning process, focusing on economic targets related to high-tech and smart innovation projects; industrial and urban zones and clusters; investment in developing Chu Lai airport and the economic zone associated with the airport; green development by building Quang Nam into a national green development pilot.

To strengthen and improve the investment environment, the province needs to promptly remove obstacles in traffic infrastructure and urban infrastructure; remove mechanisms and policies in site clearance; improve and shorten administrative procedures related to land; investment projects also need to be considered so as not to affect the living environment.

Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung affirmed that the government and people have high expectations for this planning. Therefore, the province will be determined to implement it in a focused, practical and effective manner.

According to Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung, the workshop received many contributions, suggestions and clarifications on important issues, central to the planning until 2030.

Through planning, the goal of the government and people is to strive to turn Quang Nam into a fairly developed province in the country; an important and leading growth pole in the Central Highlands region.

Sharing the same view, Quang Nam Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that the planning will be implemented in the 2023-2024 period, so there will be changes in circumstances and contexts. Therefore, the province needs to clarify further issues related to regional connectivity, economic shifts, resource mobilization solutions or maximum exploitation of potential and strengths.

According to the plan, Quang Nam strives to become a fairly developed province of the country; an important growth pole of the Central Highlands region by 2030; by 2050, Quang Nam will develop comprehensively, modernly and sustainably; strive to become a centrally-run city; and an important international tourist center.
