Quang Ngai: Speeding up site clearance progress for 2 projects worth tens of thousands of billions of VND

The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon component project in Quang Ngai is still stuck in land clearance.

According to the report of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Traffic Works in Quang Ngai Province, although the Provincial People's Committee has issued many documents directing relevant units and authorities of communes and wards to focus on resolving difficulties and obstacles to complete and hand over the remaining site of the project, the implementation results are still slow and have not met the set plan.

For the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon component project, there are currently 14 locations with land clearance problems; 7.84 hectares have not yet approved the compensation plan and 5.79 hectares have not yet handed over the land. For the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road project, up to now, only the compensation plan has been approved for 63.77/172.16 hectares, reaching 37%.

Regarding the above two projects, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Sam requested departments, branches, localities, and construction contractors to further promote the sense of responsibility and closely coordinate according to decentralization and delegation of authority to effectively implement the work.

Regarding the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon component project passing through the province, the Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units and localities to focus on thoroughly handling the remaining problems. Project Management Board 2 presides over and coordinates with the Department of Construction, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, and the People's Committees of communes and wards to organize on-site inspections and clarify the legal basis for compensation in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to study current regulations to advise the Provincial People's Committee to handle and resolve related problems to ensure the source of materials for the project.

Regarding the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road project, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Land Fund Development Center and the People's Committees of the communes: Binh Son, Van Tuong, Dong Son, Tho Phong, Tinh Khe and Truong Quang Trong ward to focus on clearing agricultural land, non-agricultural land and residential land in front of National Highway 24B and Hoang Sa road to complete in 2025 as committed; hand over some locations to the contractor in October 2025.
