The National Assembly approved the dismissal of three ministerial positions.

(Dan Tri) - After a secret ballot, the National Assembly unanimously approved the dismissal of three Ministers of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs, Agriculture and Environment.

On the afternoon of October 24th, the National Assembly heard a presentation by Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Office, Le Quang Manh (who is assigned to perform the duties of the Secretary General of the National Assembly), on the draft resolutions of the National Assembly regarding personnel matters.

Subsequently, the National Assembly voted to approve the Resolution on the dismissal of several Ministers from their positions for the 2021-2026 term with a vote of 418 out of 418 National Assembly deputies present (88.19% of the total number of National Assembly deputies) in favor.

Accordingly, the National Assembly approved the dismissal of Mr. Bui Thanh Son from the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs; the dismissal of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra from the position of Minister of Home Affairs; and the dismissal of Mr. Do Duc Duy from the position of Minister of Agriculture and Environment .

The National Assembly also passed a Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council to dismiss Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, and Mr. Le Quang Tung from their positions as members of the National Election Council.

Also this afternoon, the National Assembly passed resolutions dismissing Mr. Le Quang Tung from his position as a member of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly; dismissing him from his position as Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office; dismissing Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai from her position as Head of the Committee on Delegate Affairs of the 15th National Assembly; and dismissing Mr. Le Quang Huy from his position as Head of the Committee on Science , Technology and Environment of the 15th National Assembly.

The result showed that 431 out of 431 National Assembly delegates present voted in favor (90.93% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

Furthermore, the resolution to remove Mr. Tran Van Thuc from his position as a member of the 15th National Assembly was passed by electronic vote, with the following results: 422 delegates participated in the vote (89.03% of the total number of National Assembly delegates); of which, 422 delegates voted in favor (89.03% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).
