This is an activity within the framework of the FEF-R Patrimoine Project, sponsored by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs through the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam - IFV, in coordination with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH-VNU), the French School of the Far East (EFEO) and the Francophone University Organization (AUF).
This initiative aims to introduce and promote the value of the capital's tangible, intangible and digital heritage through four experimental heritage tourism itineraries, an interactive map system, the H-Heritage application and a QR code system at many relic sites in central Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet emphasized: "Thanks to the application of digital technology , especially the QR code system and interactive maps, Hanoi is gradually becoming one of the pioneering cities in Asia in digitizing heritage data, creating convenient, vivid and intuitive access to information."
He added: "Today, we are not only introducing heritage itineraries to the public, but also laying the foundation for a new phase: Building a city that considers heritage knowledge as a driving force for sustainable development, a factor in enhancing cultural-tourism attractiveness and a training tool for young generations."

According to Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi: "Hanoi is a city of thousands of layers of cultural sediments, where each relic, each street preserves stories, memories and long-standing traditions. However, to make those values truly closer to the public, especially young people and international tourists, we need new, modern and more accessible approaches."
From more than 100 relics surveyed in Hanoi, the research team selected 28 typical relics, divided into 4 heritage journeys associated with 4 traditional beliefs of the Vietnamese people: Tu Tran, Mau Temple, Communal House and Hanoi Pagoda. Each journey not only gathers a group of relics but also tells a linked story, reflecting the spiritual structure and memories of the people of Hanoi past and present.
