On the morning of September 7th, at the auditorium of the Central Cultural House (No. 8, Hong Quang Street, Hai Duong Ward), the City's Cultural, Cinema and Exhibition Center held the launching ceremony of the Thanh Dong Cheo Singing Club of Hai Phong City.

The Thanh Dong Cheo Singing Club of Hai Phong City is the 42nd club under the management of the City's Culture, Film and Exhibition Center, comprising 46 members and a five-person management board.
Hai Duong was once famous for its "Dong Cheo" (traditional Vietnamese opera), one of the four renowned Cheo Cheo troupes surrounding the Thang Long citadel. Cheo Cheo from the Eastern region was also renowned for its famous artists such as Pham Thi Tran, Trum Thinh, Trum Bong, the late People's Artist Trinh Thi Lan, Minh Ly, and others. After Hai Duong merged with Hai Phong City – a dynamic and modern port city, not only a key economic center in the North but also a hub of unique cultural and artistic values – the preservation and promotion of traditional artistic values, along with the flow of innovation and integration, and the nurturing of folk artisans and young artists, has become increasingly urgent and important.

The club promises to be a gathering place and nurturing ground for young talents and amateur artists active in the mass cultural and artistic movement. They will be trained in singing and dancing skills and mentored by experienced experts and artists. This is not only a professional environment but also a common home connecting art lovers, contributing to enriching the city's cultural life.
The City's Cultural, Film and Exhibition Center always accompanies the club, guiding its activities, supporting venues, and working with the club to develop rich and high-quality art programs, contributing to creating a beneficial platform for developing mass cultural and artistic movements, and enhancing the cultural and spiritual life of the city's people...
