The Deputy Head of the Education and Training Department of Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City, requested that all units and preschools in the district review the records of universal preschool education for 5-year-olds, assess the situation of 5-year-old children in the area, and update and store complete records annually at their respective units.
Today, March 6th, the Department of Education and Training of Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City, issued a notice summarizing the conclusions and directives of the Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training, Ms. Le Thi Kim Chau, at the conference reviewing the first semester and implementing tasks for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year for preschool education.
Ensuring the absolute physical and mental safety of preschool children.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Chau requested that units continue to effectively ensure the absolute physical and mental safety of children, paying particular attention to hygiene and disease prevention; ensuring food safety and hygiene; and strengthening the inspection of food supplies at the units.
Units must coordinate with the health sector to organize medical examinations and manage children, and promptly inform the Department of Education and Training, local health stations, and district health centers about any unusual health conditions in children.

In addition, the Deputy Head of the District Education and Training Department also requested that the following schools: Can Thanh 2 Kindergarten, Doi Lau Kindergarten, and Thanh An Kindergarten, review the conditions for preparing to pilot the new preschool education program. At the same time, the schools need to continue to focus on implementing the program to introduce English to preschool children as prescribed.

At the same time, to effectively encourage children to attend preschool and meet the assigned targets, units need to coordinate with local universal education specialists to monitor the situation of nursery, 3-year-old, and 4-year-old children in the area.
Following the directive from the Deputy Head of the District Education and Training Department, units need to review and ensure the operation of the School Council and other councils in the school in accordance with the regulations in Circular No. 52/2020/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training on the promulgation of the Charter of preschools. At the same time, "principals of preschools must strictly adhere to the meeting schedule; report as required; and pay attention to the industry's database. Reported data must be accurate and consistent; principals are requested to carefully check before signing," the announcement from the District Education and Training Department stated.
