Ro Pagoda Bull Racing Festival will be held in 2025

On July 18, the People's Committee of An Cu commune (An Giang province) held a conference to deploy the plan to organize the 11th traditional bull racing festival at Ro pagoda in 2025. The event will take place at 7:00 a.m. on August 31, 2025 (July 9 of the lunar calendar), at the Ro pagoda bull racing ground, Vinh Thuong hamlet, An Cu commune.

An Cu Commune People's Committee ( An Giang ) deploys plan to organize the traditional Ro Pagoda Bull Racing Festival in 2025

The annual event attracts dozens of pairs of oxen to participate.

This is an attractive and unique playground of the Khmer people in the Bay Nui region.

This year's bull racing festival has 32 pairs of bulls from An Cu commune, Chi Lang ward, Tinh Bien ward and Nui Cam commune competing in a one-time elimination format.

After the bull racing festival, there will be a rice planting festival, with the participation of monks and local people, to create a joyful and united atmosphere, expressing the unique cultural identity of the Khmer ethnic people in the Bay Nui region.
