Updates will continue...

After winning the opening gold medal on December 11th, Vietnamese athletics is looking forward to an explosive day of competition today, with a host of stars set to compete. Most notably, Huynh Thi My Tien will be competing in her specialty event, the 100m hurdles.

Also today, athletics will feature the men's and women's 400m events. Middle-distance running has remained the strongest and most dominant force in Vietnamese athletics for many years. After star athlete Nguyen Thi Huyen retired, many young athletes are ready to succeed her. At this year's SEA Games, all attention will be focused on the men's 400m, with the rising star Ta Ngoc Tuong.

Also today, Vietnamese swimming is expected to win another series of gold medals, as swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang makes his debut in an individual event.

Besides Huy Hoang, Hung Nguyen and Quang Thuan will also compete in the 400m individual medley, creating a "pleasant" competition for Vietnamese fans. Two days ago, Hung Nguyen won the gold medal and Quang Thuan won the bronze medal in the 200m individual medley. Both promise to perform even more impressively in the 400m race.

Besides athletics and swimming, gymnastics, taekwondo, and rowing will also hold finals today, promising a "shower of gold medals" for Vietnamese sports. Furthermore, shooting, a familiar and strong sport, will also be competing today.
