The number of newly established businesses in Hai Duong increased by nearly 7%.

In the first four months of 2024, Hai Duong province saw the establishment of 650 new businesses (Illustrative image).

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Hai Duong province, in the first four months of 2024, the province saw the establishment of 650 new businesses with a total registered capital of VND 5,817 billion, representing a 6.9% increase in the number of businesses and a 9.3% increase in registered capital compared to the same period last year.

During the same period, businesses in the province also developed an additional 226 branches and representative offices, and 279 businesses resumed operations. However, 725 businesses registered to temporarily suspend operations, an increase of 21.6% compared to the same period in 2023.

Currently, Hai Duong province has approximately 20,000 registered businesses, mostly small and medium-sized enterprises, with a total registered capital of over 220,000 billion VND. The province aims to increase the number of newly established businesses by 15% in 2024 compared to 2023.
