Temporarily stop circulation of health protection food batch Apiroca-B

The Food Safety Department has proposed to temporarily suspend the circulation and use of a batch of health protection food products Apiroca-B containing substandard ingredients.

The Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) has just issued Notice No. 1511/TB-ATTP requesting to temporarily suspend the sale, circulation and use of goods from July 22 for the batch of health protection food products Apiroca-B (batch number: 0335001, Manufacturing date: 260325, Expiry date: 260327).

Reason for suspension of circulation: Regarding quality, the above batch of health protection food product Apiroca-B did not meet the requirements; test results: vitamin B2 (Riboflavin sodium phosphate) 86.9 mg/tablet.

The Food Safety Department proposed to temporarily suspend the circulation and use of the substandard batch of health protection food products Apiroca-B.

The above product is announced and responsible for the product by Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (HCMC); manufactured at Apimed Pharmaceutical factory, branch of Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (address in Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province).

The Food Safety Department requests that Apimed Pharmaceutical Factory and Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company Branch contact Apimed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to take remedial measures within 7 days. The above mentioned goods are only allowed to continue circulating if satisfactory remedial actions have been taken and the inspection agency has issued a notice that the goods can continue circulating on the market.

Fanpage impersonating the Food Safety Department is recruiting

The Food Safety Department also recently announced the discovery of a fanpage impersonating the department to share false information about recruiting for a number of job positions.

The Food Safety Department affirms that it only uses the official information channel on the website vfa.gov.vn and does not recruit civil servants or job positions as stated in the fake information.

The Food Safety Department recommends that people be vigilant, not share or interact with content from fake fanpages; report violations to the hotline number: 0243.232.1556. The agency is also coordinating with authorities to handle violations according to the law.
