Focus on cultivating political acumen and professional expertise.

The Tuyen Quang Newspaper Journalists' Association has a total of 52 members working at two agencies/units: Tuyen Quang Newspaper and the Provincial Journalists' Association. 100% of members have been issued membership cards of the Vietnam Journalists' Association . Regarding educational qualifications, 100% of members have college, university, or postgraduate degrees, including 7 members with master's degrees. Politically, 32 members are Party members, of which 13 have advanced political theory qualifications.

The Tuyen Quang Newspaper Journalists' Association branch has played a crucial role in gathering members and promptly implementing the directives of the Provincial Journalists' Association regarding association activities to all members. The branch regularly focuses on political and ideological education and professional ethics for its members.

During the term, 10 new members were admitted, bringing the total number to 52. The branch maintained and participated in sports , cultural and artistic activities, and visited and encouraged members who were ill. Eleven members were awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Journalism, and 100% of members received certificates of merit from the Tuyen Quang Provincial Journalists Association.

Members of the Tuyen Quang Newspaper Journalists' Association have actively participated in innovating and improving the quality of journalistic publications. Annually, the Association's Secretariat advises, coordinates, and participates in training courses to enhance the professional skills of its members.

The branch association has actively encouraged its members to participate in journalism competitions and awards organized by the central and provincial authorities, winning many high-ranking prizes. The branch association's secretariat also regularly focuses on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members; and proposes to competent authorities to reward and encourage members with outstanding achievements in journalism and association work.

In his address to the Congress, Comrade Mai Duc Thong, Secretary of the Party Branch, Editor-in-Chief of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, and Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, assessed and acknowledged the achievements of the Tuyen Quang Newspaper Journalists Association during the past term, while also outlining the key tasks for the new term. In particular, the Tuyen Quang Newspaper Journalists Association needs to better fulfill its role and functions.

The comrade emphasized that in the coming period, the digital transformation of journalism presents both opportunities and challenges for journalists. Therefore, each member must actively cultivate political acumen, professional skills, and expertise in professional and modern journalism to meet the increasingly high demands of the public and readers in the new situation.

The Congress elected the Secretariat, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Journalists Association for the 10th term, 2024-2026. Comrade Phan Viet Hoa, Party Committee member, Head of the Electronic News Department, and Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Journalists Association for the 9th term, 2022-2024, was re-elected as Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Journalists Association for the 10th term, 2024-2026.
