Recognizing social welfare as a key priority, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City annually collaborates closely with various sectors, organizations, and localities to carry out numerous activities focused on grassroots levels, especially helping poor households improve their lives. To effectively implement social welfare policies, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the city has implemented many comprehensive solutions such as: mobilizing contributions to the "For the Poor" Fund; supporting the construction of solidarity houses for families facing housing difficulties; and supporting poor students who excel academically despite their hardships.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City receive support from Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School to assist people affected by Typhoon No. 3.

Over the past nine months, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have raised over 4.4 billion VND through propaganda and mobilization efforts for the "For the Poor" Fund and social welfare programs; from this fund, they organized visits and presented 2,757 Tet gifts worth over 2.5 billion VND; coordinated with the City's Housing Review Steering Committee to support the construction and handover of 23 solidarity houses, houses of compassion, and houses of solidarity and humanity with a total amount of 1.36 billion VND; and organized free medical examinations, treatment, and medicine provision, as well as economic development support for 2,364 poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households and policy beneficiary families with a total amount of 600 million VND.

The movement of showing gratitude and humanitarian charity continues to be promoted. The City Fatherland Front Committee has launched a campaign to build the "Gratitude Fund" in 2024; advised the City Party Committee to establish a delegation to visit and present gifts to express gratitude to the families of heroic martyrs, Dien Bien Phu soldiers, and civilian workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. In coordination with various sectors and member organizations, activities commemorating the 77th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day were organized, such as: visiting martyrs' cemeteries, a candle-lighting ceremony to honor heroic martyrs; visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services with 1,000 gifts worth 330 million VND; organizing activities such as repairing and cleaning cemeteries, placing flowers on the graves of heroic martyrs, and providing labor assistance...

Representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City presented financial support for the construction of a charitable home to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bo, residing in Group 9, Area 2, Van Co Ward.

In particular, after Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3) caused severe damage throughout the province, the Fatherland Front Committee actively implemented relief efforts to mitigate the consequences. Responding to the call of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Standing Committee of the Viet Tri City Fatherland Front Committee - City Relief Campaign Committee - issued a notice regarding the organization of receiving donations. As of September 17th, approximately 100 organizations and benefactors had contributed 774 million VND along with many essential supplies.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City received support from Thanh Mieu ward to assist people affected by typhoon No. 3, totaling over 300 million VND.

Comrade Vu Kim Duc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City, said: In the remaining months of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City will continue to promote the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" . This includes mobilizing support for the "For the Poor" Fund, organizing the "Month of intensified efforts for the poor" and other social welfare activities; focusing on mobilizing resources for activities supporting the construction and repair of houses for poor and near-poor households with the goal of "leaving no poor behind". Along with that, it will focus on organizing effective humanitarian relief work, helping people in areas affected by natural disasters and epidemics overcome difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives.

Building on the achievements, in the coming time, the Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Tri City will continue to promote social welfare work to create widespread impact and promote the spirit of "mutual support and compassion" in the community, thereby contributing to gradually improving the lives of poor households and disadvantaged people in the city.
