He was once the youngest candidate for associate professor.

Associate Professor Vo Hoang Hung (38 years old), Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at Saigon University, is the youngest professor candidate in Vietnam this year. Five years ago, at the age of 33, Associate Professor Hung was the youngest associate professor candidate in Vietnam.

Associate Professor Vo Hoang Hung graduated from the University of Science (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), obtained his master's degree from the University of Paris XIII, and his doctorate from the University of Paris VI (France) in the field of differential and integral equations.

Associate Professor Hung's research areas include inverse problems, partial differential equations, nonlinear analysis, non-integer-order analysis, and biological problems.

Associate Professor Vo Hoang Hung has many outstanding achievements in mathematics while studying at Ly Tu Trong Specialized High School ( Can Tho ). Specifically, in 10th grade, he won a gold medal in the April 30th Olympic competition, and in 11th grade, he won first prize in mathematics in the regional competition for 12th-grade students in the Mekong Delta.

In 12th grade, he won third prize in the national mathematics competition for gifted students, so he was directly admitted to the mathematics and computer science program at the University of Science (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), and later graduated with honors in the talented student bachelor's program.

After working at the University of Science and Technology and Saigon University, Associate Professor Hung has successfully supervised two doctoral students in defending their dissertations, published 23 scientific articles, including 21 in prestigious international journals, and published a book with a reputable publisher.

He also won the Ministry of Education and Training's award for outstanding mathematical work in 2023, and has been involved in training the Saigon University's student mathematics Olympiad team in calculus since 2019, consistently winning awards.

Published 76 scientific papers.

Associate Professor Tran Quoc Trung (39 years old) is the second youngest professor candidate in Vietnam in 2025 and is currently the Deputy Director of Campus II of the Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Trung received his bachelor's degree from the Foreign Trade University and was hired as a lecturer immediately after graduation. He holds two master's degrees: one in business administration from the Foreign Trade University, and the other in law, economics , and management from Lille 2 University, part of the University of Lille, France. He also earned a doctorate in management science from the University of Lille.

Associate Professor Dr. Trung's main research areas include financial management, corporate governance, and enterprise risk management under the influence of the business environment; and the business of goods and services in the context of international economic integration and digital transformation. He has supervised two doctoral students who successfully defended their dissertations.

During his scientific career, Mr. Trung led a national-level research project, a Nafosted-funded project, and published 76 scientific articles, including 35 in prestigious international journals, 27 of which he was the sole author/main author; he also published two monographs by reputable international publishers, one textbook, and five monographs published by reputable domestic publishers.

He has won awards for outstanding mathematical work.

Associate Professor Dr. Do Duc Thuan (40 years old) is the third youngest professor candidate in Vietnam this year. Currently, Dr. Thuan holds the position of Director of the Mathematics and Computer Science training program at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He was previously the youngest associate professor in Vietnam in 2017 at the age of 32.

Mr. Thuan has spent considerable time conducting research abroad, including postdoctoral research at the Technical University of Berlin (Germany); a visited presentation at the Industrial Mathematics Conference in Fukuoka, Japan; a visited research conference at the University of Graz (Austria); and a visited presentation at the Vietnam-Korea Conference on Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems in 2025, Jeju (South Korea). In Vietnam, he worked as a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics.

Associate Professor Thuan's main research directions include studying the controllability and robust controllability of control systems and degenerate systems subjected to disturbances; the stability and robust stability of control systems and degenerate systems subjected to disturbances; and the stabilizeability and robust stabilizeability of control systems and degenerate systems subjected to disturbances.

To date, Mr. Thuan has supervised four doctoral students who have successfully defended their dissertations; completed one state-level scientific research project and one ministerial-level project.

Mr. Thuan has published 47 scientific articles, 46 of which were published in prestigious international journals. He has also published 3 books with reputable publishers.

Notably, in 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Do Duc Thuan received the award for outstanding mathematical work under the National Key Program for the Development of Mathematics 2020-2030.
