Specialized inspection to prevent waste in management and use of houses and land at some units under the Ministry of Public Security

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security has just announced a decision to conduct a thematic inspection on preventing and combating waste in the management and use of housing and land facilities managed by state-owned agencies, organizations and enterprises.

Previously, on August 29, 2025, the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Security issued Inspection Decision No. 191/QD-X05-P7 on thematic inspection of waste prevention and control in the management and use of housing and land facilities managed by state-owned agencies, organizations and enterprises.

The organization of this thematic inspection is implemented according to Plan No. 1238/KH-TTCP dated June 25, 2025 of the Government Inspectorate and Plan No. 493/KH-BCA-X05 dated August 18, 2025 of the Ministry of Public Security.

The inspected units include: Department of Political Work, Department of Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police, Department of Prison Management, Compulsory Education Facilities, Reformatory Schools, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, Quang Ngai Provincial Police and Tay Ninh Provincial Police.

The inspection team is led by Colonel Bui Gia Cuong, Head of the Anti-Corruption Department - Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security. The inspection period is 45 days from the date of announcement of the inspection decision. The scope of the inspection is from January 1, 2019 to July 1, 2025.

According to Major General Bui Quang Thanh, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Security, implementing the direction of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, this thematic inspection aims to correctly assess the current situation of preventing and combating waste in the management and use of housing and land facilities of state agencies, organizations and enterprises; to recognize good and creative practices to have solutions to replicate, contributing to unlocking resources and promoting economic growth.

Through inspection, it helps authorities take measures to prevent, detect and promptly handle wasteful behavior in the management and use of housing and land facilities; recommends considering and strictly handling violations to deter and educate according to the motto "handling one case, warning the whole region and the whole field".

At the same time, promptly detect loopholes and inadequacies in mechanisms, policies and legal regulations on waste prevention and control in the management and use of housing and land facilities to propose amendments, supplements and improvements to suit...

In order for the inspection to achieve its objectives and requirements, and ensure quality and progress, the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Security requests that the police of inspected units and localities direct their subordinate units to prepare complete records and documents, arrange responsible leaders and commanders, and responsible officers to directly advise and implement the contents of the work being inspected to work with the Inspection Team according to the program and plan.

The inspection team must strictly implement the approved plan and inspection procedures.

During the inspection process, it is necessary to record and share difficulties and obstacles to resolve them, and at the same time provide professional guidance to the inspected unit, record shortcomings in the actual implementation to propose amendments, supplements, and improve the quality and efficiency of the work, in accordance with reality.
