With the participation of over 60 doctors and medical staff, more than 1,000 people in the two communes received free health check-ups and screenings, including general internal medicine examinations, gastroenterology and dermatology specialist examinations, ultrasound, electrocardiogram, basic blood tests, free medication, and gifts. The total value of the donation program is estimated at 1.8 billion VND.
Attending the program, Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, said that the program of free medical examinations and treatment and technology transfer to hospitals in ethnic minority areas is not only a health program to support the recovery from the consequences of storms and floods, but also demonstrates the humanitarian significance, concern, and sharing of the whole society.
This also represents a commitment to the ongoing effort to improve the quality of life and health for ethnic minority communities, who often face numerous challenges in accessing quality healthcare services.
