The most prominent of these is the powerful female voice, both solemn and intimate, making the listeners emotional and proud. The owner of that captivating voice is Major Tran Thi Kim Thu, a native of Tuyen Quang , an employee of the Music Department, Military Ceremonial Group, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Training like a "soldier on the sound front"

“Reading the commentary for the parade does not only require correct pronunciation or good intonation, but also the synchronization between the reading voice and the music , the formation, and the pace. Just one beat off can affect the emotions of millions of viewers,” Ms. Thu shared. That is why, during the preparation time, she and other MCs practiced dozens of times, adjusting the rhythm, speed, and emphasis on the words. There were days when she had to practice until her voice was hoarse, but she still persevered because “this is the duty of a soldier in a special field: Keeping the rhythm for the emotions of the whole nation on a great holiday.”

That perfectionism is not only shown in group practice sessions but also in the daily self-practice process. To keep her voice strong and clear, Major Tran Thi Kim Thu maintains a strict training regimen: Limiting cold foods, keeping her throat warm, practicing pronunciation in the morning, rereading the script many times before going to bed to "absorb" each word. Small secrets such as drinking warm water with honey, practicing abdominal breathing, and practicing regular pronunciation have helped her maintain a stable, energetic reading voice for many hours. In particular, the support from her loving husband, 3 obedient, studious children, and a thoughtful, sympathetic mother-in-law have helped her overcome all difficulties in the practice process.

Competence from professional foundation and rich experience

Major Tran Thi Kim Thu was born in 1984 in Tuyen Quang, graduated with honors from the Faculty of Cultural Management, University of Military Culture and Arts. With a solid academic background, she was soon trained in confidence, the ability to appreciate music, performing arts and the ability to inspire through her voice. During many years working at the Music Department, Military Ceremonial Troupe, she participated in many mass art programs, professional performances, at the General Staff and the entire army level, achieving many outstanding achievements, thereby accumulating experience, cultivating flexibility and professionalism.

Notably, before participating in the narration at the parade-parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, Major of the People's Army Tran Thi Kim Thu left a strong impression when she contributed her main voice to many important events: the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. At each event, her Northern voice received high praise from colleagues and audiences for its generosity, rich emotions, both majestic and rich in humanity.

On this occasion, she also had the opportunity to learn and exchange professional skills with veteran announcers and editors such as Editor Hoai Anh and Editor Huu Bang (Vietnam Television). “That was the inspiration for me to perfect my skills, learn how to restrain myself, and how to breathe life into each word. The voice is not only a sound but also an emotional bridge between history and the present,” Ms. Thu confided.

It was her thorough preparation in both skills and professional qualities that helped her enter the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day with a confident and steady mind. No longer was there anxiety, but instead there was calmness and high concentration to convey the sacred message of the event to millions of hearts.

Keep the passion burning, spread love for the homeland through every word

For Major Tran Thi Kim Thu, reading is not only a job but also a passion, a joy to contribute to the Fatherland in a very unique way. "Every time I speak, I always remind myself that this is not just a simple narration, but the voice of millions of Vietnamese people sharing the same patriotic beat," she emotionally shared.

The smooth coordination between team members determines the quality of the reporting session.

Behind the stage lights, behind the captivating voice on television, she is still a simple woman, always spending time with her family and self-studying. She reads a lot of documents about history, music, and culture to enrich her language, polishing each sentence and each intonation. For her, maintaining her voice is not just about maintaining the sound, but also maintaining a pure mindset, a love for her job and her love for her country.

The greatest joy of Major Tran Thi Kim Thu after the ceremony was not only the completion of her mission, but also the sympathy from the audience. The messages: "The reading voice is so beautiful, extremely emotional. I was so moved when I heard it" or "The Northern female voice is so impressive, both majestic and close" are proof of the spread of that reading voice. That is a precious reward, adding motivation for her to continue contributing.
