Agree on the content of the meeting and awarding of the second provincial press award

Comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Provincial Journalism Awards, chaired the meeting.

Accordingly, the meeting was held on the afternoon of June 19th in Meeting Room 2A - Provincial People's Committee Headquarters.

Following the commemoration of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day, the second Provincial Journalism Awards Ceremony was held. This year, 44 journalistic works across four categories—print, online, radio, and television—won awards. Each category had one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and five consolation prizes.

Delegates contributed many ideas to ensure the meeting was organized in a dignified and warm manner. It was also an opportunity to encourage and honor reporters, journalists, and media organizations who have strived for the common good of the province.

Comrade Vu A Bang acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of press and media agencies in the past period, especially during the peak period of propaganda commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien and the Hoa Ban Festival in 2024. With various methods of propaganda through mass media; applying new technologies and social media platforms… the achievements in many fields of socio -economic development, national defense and security, and foreign relations of the province over the past 70 years have spread quickly and widely. The press has also done a good job of guiding and critically analyzing public opinion; promptly encouraging and motivating exemplary collectives and individuals in studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang expressed his hope that in the coming time, news agencies and press organizations will leverage their strengths and work together with the entire political system of the province to better fulfill their tasks. He also urged journalists to enthusiastically participate in journalism competitions; actively seek out, learn, and exploit more interesting, new, and engaging topics to report to readers and win high awards.
