Passed 8 resolutions and elected 3 additional members of the Provincial People's Committee

On the morning of August 17, the 16th session (special session) of the 11th Provincial People's Council took place at the Provincial Convention Center. Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session. Attending were a number of members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, relevant departments, branches and 42/49 delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized that the Provincial People's Council has passed 8 important resolutions to promptly organize the implementation of socio-economic development projects and works, allocate public investment capital and capital to implement national target programs, and meet the requirements of socio-economic development management of the province.

This includes a Resolution on the allocation of provincial budget funds for the 2022 capital plan to implement the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the province, with a total amount of 3.212 billion VND from the surplus revenue of the local budget in 2021. Also at the meeting, through a secret ballot, 100% of the provincial People's Council delegates present unanimously elected three additional members to the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Nam - Director of the Department of Transport; Mr. Tran Sinh Toan - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Toan Thang - Director of the Department of Education and Training. Previously, 100% of the provincial People's Council delegates present voted unanimously to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Tan Le - former Director of the Department of Transport, from his position as a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, due to being assigned to another position by the competent authority, and Mr. Phan Doan Thai - former Director of the Department of Education and Training, due to retirement.

In his closing remarks at the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh affirmed that the resolutions just passed by the Provincial People's Council are very important and have a significant impact on socio-economic development and the lives of the people. The Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies and units to seriously implement the resolutions from the initial stages of dissemination and investment preparation so that projects and works can be implemented on schedule, ensuring quality and efficiency. Simultaneously, he requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Committees, Groups, and delegates of the Provincial People's Council to strengthen supervision, promptly identify shortcomings and inadequacies, and propose solutions to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to ensure the resolutions are implemented with the highest possible effectiveness.
