Passed 8 resolutions and elected 3 additional members of the Provincial People's Committee

On the morning of August 17, the 16th session (special session) of the 11th Provincial People's Council took place at the Provincial Convention Center. Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session. Attending were a number of members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, relevant departments, branches and 42/49 delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized that the Provincial People's Council has passed 8 important resolutions to promptly organize the implementation of socio -economic development projects and works, allocate public investment capital and capital to implement national target programs, and meet the requirements of socio-economic development management of the province.

In which, there is a Resolution on allocating provincial budget funds to match the 2022 capital plan to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the province, with a total amount of 3,212 billion VND from the source of excess local budget revenue in 2021. Also at the meeting, by secret ballot, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates attending the meeting unanimously voted to elect 3 additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Nam - Director of the Department of Transport; Mr. Tran Sinh Toan - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Toan Thang - Director of the Department of Education and Training. Previously, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates attending the meeting unanimously voted to dismiss from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026, Mr. Nguyen Tan Le - former Director of the Department of Transport, on the grounds that the competent authority had arranged other work for him and Mr. Phan Doan Thai - former Director of the Department of Education and Training, retired.

In his closing speech at the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh affirmed that the resolutions just passed by the Provincial People's Council at the session are very important, having a great impact on socio-economic development and people's lives. The Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee, relevant agencies and units to seriously implement the resolutions right from the propaganda stage, investment preparation work so that projects and works can be soon deployed and constructed on schedule, ensuring quality and efficiency. At the same time, he requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Committees, Groups and delegates of the Provincial People's Council to strengthen supervision, promptly detect shortcomings and inadequacies to propose and request the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to have solutions to ensure the resolutions are implemented with the highest efficiency.
