Deputy Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang and the Provincial Party Secretary attended the military handover ceremony in Quynh Phu district.

On the morning of February 25th, at the National Historical and Cultural Relic Site of Tuong A Sao communal house, temple, and wharf in An Thai commune, Quynh Phu district, a ceremony was held to hand over and receive the 2024 military recruits. Attending the ceremony were: Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Public Security ; Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Colonel Tran Quoc Tien, Head of Logistics, Military Region 3; Hoang Thai Phuc, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Colonel Tran Van Phuc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Public Security Department; and leaders from several departments and agencies.

In 2024, Quynh Phu district had 377 citizens performing military service and 42 citizens performing public security service; among them, 89 new recruits volunteered to enlist. To successfully fulfill the recruitment and enlistment targets, the District Military Command closely coordinated with relevant departments, agencies, and organizations to advise the District Military Service Council on implementing all stages and steps of the recruitment and enlistment process, ensuring democracy, objectivity, fairness, and legality. 100% of the new recruits met the requirements regarding political qualities, health, and educational level; of which over 70% had health classifications of type 1 and type 2, and 46 young people had graduated from university or college.

Speaking at the military enlistment ceremony, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Minister of Public Security, affirmed: Firmly protecting the Fatherland is a strategic task of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army; it is a sacred duty and a noble right of every citizen. With the spirit of "not a single grain of rice is lacking, not a single soldier is lacking," in recent years, Thai Binh province in general and Quynh Phu district in particular have always been shining examples in the movement to select and enlist citizens into the military, as evidenced by the increasing number of recruits each year and the increasingly high quality of new recruits, including many students studying at universities and colleges.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security acknowledged and highly appreciated the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Military Service Council, and related units in doing a good job in selecting and encouraging new recruits to confidently embark on their mission to protect the Fatherland. He hoped that the new recruits would uphold the heroic traditions of their homeland and the glorious traditions of their predecessors, striving to overcome all difficulties and challenges, constantly cultivating their skills and training to truly become soldiers of Uncle Ho and Vietnamese People's Public Security officers, wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the people, and excellently fulfilling all assigned tasks. He also urged all organizations and associations from the provincial to the district level to effectively implement the military's rear-area support policy, caring for and assisting the families of new recruits so that they can confidently carry out their duties.

At the ceremony, after the Commander of the Military Command of Quynh Phu District announced the decision on assigning and allocating quotas for the selection and recruitment of citizens into the army in 2024, the leaders of Quynh Phu District lit the traditional torch and sounded the drum to signal the start of the military enlistment, igniting enthusiasm and pride in the younger generation; at the same time, they expressed their confidence that the new recruits would continue and uphold the glorious traditions of their heroic revolutionary homeland, strive to train and work hard to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Public Security and the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of Military Region 3, along with provincial and district leaders, presented flowers and encouraged the new recruits as they departed for military service.

The military enlistment ceremony in Quynh Phu district was quick, efficient, solemn, safe, and filled with the spirit of a youth festival as they set off to defend the Fatherland.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with other delegates, offered incense to commemorate National Hero Tran Quoc Tuan, also known as Hung Dao Dai Vuong.
