Sao Paulo - On the morning of September 24th (evening of the same day in Vietnam time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Corinthians football club - the team that won the FIFA Club World Cup 2012.
"The potential for cooperation in culture, sports , especially high-performance sports like football, between Vietnam and Brazil is limitless," the head of government told the leaders of the Corinthians football club.

The Prime Minister said that Vietnamese people are passionate about football and admire Brazilian football with great players, football legends such as Pele, Romario, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo. The Brazilian national team, nicknamed Selecao, has won the world championship many times with its attacking philosophy, beautiful playing style, and "Samba dance on the field".
He stated that the Vietnamese government has always been interested in and created favorable conditions to promote the field of physical education and sports in general, and high-performance sports in particular. Therefore, Vietnamese football has made many impressive and encouraging strides and achievements in recent times.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that Brazil and Corinthians club increase cooperation activities and support Vietnam in developing football. For example, training, improving players' physical strength and skills, improving management capacity, developing brands, mobilizing and managing resources, and organizing competitions. He also suggested that Brazil continue to "export" players to Vietnam and Vietnamese players to Brazil.
"I hope that one day fans from both countries and the world will be able to witness a World Cup final between Vietnam and Brazil," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said.

Mr. Luiz Wagner Alcantara, Vice President of Corinthians Paulista Club, expressed his gratitude for the affection and attention shown by the Prime Minister and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to the club and Brazilian football.
He expressed strong agreement with the Prime Minister's proposals and stated that he would actively implement cooperation activities to support Vietnam, contributing to promoting the good relations between the two countries and the affection between their peoples.
Corinthians Paulista is a Brazilian football club founded on September 1, 1910, currently playing in the Brazilian Football Championship.
