Quang Tri organizes 10th grade admission in the form of a combination of entrance exams and selection, so that students know their scores in advance before they have to register.

Up to now, Quang Tri is the only province that combines entrance exams and admissions to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year for general students.

Accordingly, Quang Tri students will take exams in 3 subjects: Math, Literature, and English in round 1. Literature will be tested in essay format, Math will be tested in a combination of essay and multiple choice, and English will be tested in an essay and multiple choice format, testing 3 skills: listening, reading, and writing. All subjects will have a coefficient of 2.

After receiving the exam scores, candidates will enter round 2 - admission. In this round, candidates register for only 1 high school choice. The admission score is the total score of round 1 combined with the study and training results of 4 years of middle school, priority points, and incentive points if any.

The admission condition is that candidates must complete all 3 exams; not violate exam regulations and the score of each exam must be greater than or equal to 0.75 points.

A representative of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri said that this is the second consecutive year that the education sector of this province has implemented the enrollment plan of announcing exam scores and considering admission before students register their wishes.

This will help students have more opportunities to choose schools. After knowing the exam scores, students will know their level of ability to register their wishes in accordance with the admission needs of high schools.

"The method of knowing scores in advance and then registering wishes helps to balance the admission pressure for high schools in the area, limiting the situation where a school has to receive many wishes at the same time," added a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province.
