Provincial Party Committee summarizes 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people

On April 25, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Central Executive Committee on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development (Resolution No. 33). Comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches and localities.

Implementing Resolution No. 33, in recent years, the Provincial Party Committee has led and directed Party committees and authorities at all levels to closely follow the Provincial Party Committee's action program in conjunction with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, focusing on leading and directing the inheritance and promotion of the fine traditional cultural values of the nation and homeland, building Ninh Thuan people with a spirit of aspiration, self-respect, autonomy, living and working according to the Constitution and laws, building people who are increasingly comprehensively developed, making an important contribution to the construction and socio-economic development of the province. Education and training work has been given attention; the quality of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers has been gradually improved, meeting the requirements of performing political tasks. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" continues to achieve important results. The building of cultural families, clans, villages, agencies, units, and schools has had a positive impact on the cultural life at the grassroots level, encouraging patriotic emulation movements in all economic and social fields. The work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural and historical heritages in the province has received attention, especially in serving the development of tourism, services, and education of historical and cultural traditions for the younger generation. The typical cultural values of ethnic minorities have been gradually restored, preserved, and developed. International integration, exchange, and cooperation activities on culture have been gradually implemented. The whole province currently has 239 cultural heritages, historical relics, and landscapes recognized and ranked, including 2 national relics. In particular, UNESCO has recognized Nui Chua as a World Biosphere Reserve and listed "Cham pottery art in the List of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection"...

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee commended the achievements over 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 33 by Party committees, authorities, political organizations and unions in the province. To continue effectively implementing Resolution No. 33, he requested Party committees and authorities to focus on performing well a number of key tasks: Strengthening dissemination and propaganda; enhancing innovation in methods, enhancing the leadership and management role in building and developing culture and people; linking the implementation of Resolution No. 33 with the Resolution of the 13th Central Committee, Session 4, on Party building and rectification; preventing and repelling ideological, political, moral and lifestyle degradation, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party and Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in an effective and practical manner; Identify this as an important, regular, long-term task. Comprehensively and synchronously build and develop the fields of culture, cultural environment, cultural institutions, and cultural life. Promote the building of culture in the Party and the political system; build culture in leadership and management; promote the exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially leaders, following the ideology, morality, and cultural style of President Ho Chi Minh. Build a digital cultural environment, study and upgrade a number of traditional festivals of the Raglai and Cham people to the provincial level to promote and attract tourism and service development associated with the preservation and development of unique local cultural features. Promote the socialization of culture and arts; encourage the masses to participate in preserving and promoting traditional cultural and artistic values; expand cultural exchanges; launch competitions for composing literary and artistic works in all fields.
