US President Joe Biden boards Air Force One at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Cary, North Carolina, on January 18.
Future Forward's $208 million, plus nearly $100 million raised by President Biden's re-election campaign in the fourth quarter of 2023, has given the incumbent White House owner a formidable advantage over his Republican opponents.
Future Forward's total funding includes money from the organization's Super PAC and its nonprofit arm, Future Forward USA Action.
Gaining a financial advantage is particularly important as President Biden's re-election campaign prepares for a rematch with former US President Donald Trump in the 2024 US election. Trump just won a historic victory in Iowa in the Republican primary on January 15th.
Trump is campaigning in Washington; calls for an investigation into the Democratic Party are emerging.
Throughout 2023, Future Forward spent money on ads supporting President Biden, such as the anti-inflationary act which was touted as bringing numerous economic and social benefits to the U.S., as well as setting a price cap on insulin and investing in manufacturing jobs. They also ran Latino and Hispanic advertising campaigns in the states of Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.
For its part, former President Trump's flagship Super PAC, Make America Great Again, has yet to announce its total fundraising in 2023. The US press only knows that Make America Great Again previously had about $31 million in cash and raised nearly $15 million in the first half of 2023.
During the same period, Future Forward raised about $50 million.
