Hoang Thuy Linh's Vietnamese Concert recently took place successfully at Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. Hoang Thuy Linh stated that this was not only a celebration of her 13 years of singing, but also a story told through music by her and nearly 1000 members of her team about the journey of a naive young girl.
"That naive girl, burdened with countless questions, tirelessly searched for the answer to happiness in life. Meeting, falling in love, parting, reunion. Her journey took shape on the stage of the Vietnamese Concert, with music as the thread that ran throughout, until finally, she learned how to find happiness for herself," the singer confided.
Since tickets went on sale, Hoang Thuy Linh's concert has caused a stir due to the lackluster ticket sales, stemming from the singer's controversial statements at the press conference. However, two days before the show, almost all tickets were sold out.
Overall, with 7000 attendees, Hoang Thuy Linh's concert was quite packed. This was also considered a motivation for the female singer to give her all during the performance.
Hoang Thuy Linh chose to recount the coming-of-age journey of a naive little girl through 19 familiar songs in 5 chapters: "Beginning - Ceremony - Thuy - Linh - Hoang".
Not only is the music and visuals structured like a film, but it also incorporates various theatrical disciplines and traditional Vietnamese theatrical forms.
The singer shared that she and her team spent a year brainstorming the storyline and material for all the performances.
She hopes that the audience will enjoy a trendy yet familiar "music festival" that incorporates traditional cultural and entertainment elements already present in each person.
Our first guest, Wren Evans, represents a chapter of youth, old friends, people who will become memories in our lives, allowing us to continue on new journeys.
The appearance of artist Thanh Bui in "No Song Can Express My Feelings Right Now" is refreshed with a blend of jazz and soul sounds.
Den Vau was the third guest performer to appear at the concert alongside Hoang Thuy Linh, performing her new song "Promised Land".
Hoang Thuy Linh said that the three guest performers who appeared at the concert all played an important role in the process of creating her complete self and soul.
Hoang - the final chapter of the Vietnamese Concert featuring hits that made Hoang Thuy Linh famous such as "De Mi Noi Cho Ma Nghe," "Ha Phom," "Gieo Que," "Bo Xi Bo," and "See Tinh."
The moment when the melody of "See Tình" resonated in its orchestral version, performed for the first time with a choir of young children, was the most sincere thank you that Hoang Thuy Linh and her team wanted to send to everyone.
Before the show ended, Hoang Thuy Linh thanked the audience and those who have always loved her.
She confided: "Hoang Thuy Linh is just an ordinary person, like everyone else. Linh has nothing but love and music to give to the public and audience. Take it when you need it, as much as you want."
Thank you to our three guest speakers, Thanh Bui, Den Vau, and Wren Evans. Thank you to my teammates, nearly a thousand people, who spared no time or effort to enrich this performance with such artistic merit.
Thank you to the nearly 7000 audience members, reporters, friends, beloved fans, and The Phoenix for being present at this most meaningful and heartwarming moment for Hoang Thuy Linh. Everyone is the final but extremely important piece in making the Vietnamese Concert a miracle.
We are Vietnamese. We all believe and understand that unity creates prosperity. It is unity that will allow us to go far together. We appreciate and are grateful for being a part of the Vietnamese Concert.”
