On December 24th, at the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Historical and Architectural Site in Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, the program "Hoa Lu Walking Tour - Dai Co Viet Traditional Clothing" took place to spread the image of Vietnamese traditional clothing to the general public and tourists.
The program took place in the grounds of the King Dinh Tien Hoang Temple and the King Le Dai Hành Temple, with activities such as a parade in traditional costumes, interaction, and photo opportunities with tourists ...
Participating in the program, each volunteer will have the opportunity to wear costumes from the Dinh and Pre-Le dynasties, such as: the attire of King Dinh Tien Hoang, King Le Dai Hành; Queen Mother Duong Van Nga, soldiers, servants, etc.
According to Ms. Trinh Thi Ly, from the Hoa Lu Legacy Project Organizing Committee, Vietnamese traditional costumes are a precious heritage, containing the soul and essence of the nation from time immemorial, and need to be preserved, protected, and promoted.
The program aims to introduce traditional values to the general public, especially to help young people better understand the history and culture of their nation. "Hoa Lu Walking - Dai Co Viet Traditional Clothing" is a way to express love and pride in Vietnamese traditional clothing and the Vietnamese spirit, honoring, introducing, and showcasing the beauty of ancient Vietnamese attire.
Ms. Trinh Thi Ly stated: "This is an opportunity to share the love from individuals and research-collection-application groups of traditional costumes in Ninh Binh, contributing to bringing Vietnamese traditional clothing closer to the public both domestically and internationally. We are very happy that when we launched the program, many young people responded enthusiastically."
Nguyen Thi Mai, a volunteer in the program, shared that traditional costumes bear the distinct mark and identity of each historical period. Despite experiencing many ups and downs throughout history, and interacting with various cultures in the context of integration, traditional costumes still play an important role in the lives and consciousness of every Vietnamese person.
Nguyen Thi Mai believes this is a very meaningful event, honoring the beauty of Vietnamese culture. Through the program, she learned more about traditional Vietnamese clothing and developed a greater love for her nation's history.
