Summary of work on protecting and taking care of staff's health in 2024

This afternoon, January 2, the Board of Protection and Health Care for Officials (BVCSKCB) of Quang Tri province held a conference to summarize the work of protecting and caring for officials' health in 2024. Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang praised the results achieved in 2024 by the Health Care and Protection Board. In 2025, the activities of the Health Care and Protection Board will end, and its functions and tasks will be transferred to the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board will be requested to consider and reorganize health care and protection activities according to the new model. The Provincial Health Care Management Department will be retained and medical equipment will be continued to be invested in to contribute to creating favorable conditions for health care for cadres and people in the province.

For cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, it is necessary to closely coordinate between relevant agencies to ensure that cadres receive better health care. The activities of the Health Care Board have ended, but the functions and tasks of the board are operated in a new way to meet the wishes of cadres and people in the province, contributing to improving the quality of health care for people in the province.

In 2024, the Provincial Health Care Committee promptly issued instructions for the Health Care Committees of districts, towns and cities to perform well the task of taking care of the health of cadres, such as regular check-ups, rest, and health care for cadres throughout the province, and promptly visiting cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee who are sick or have serious illnesses.

Pay attention to proposing the provision of some technical equipment at the Provincial Cadre Health Management Department and the Provincial General Hospital to meet the requirements of good care and treatment for cadres.

During the year, in addition to organizing regular medical examinations for more than 1,900 cadres according to regulations, the Provincial Cadre Health Management Department examined and treated subjects under the management of the unit with 3,096 visits; examined and prescribed treatment at home for seriously ill, elderly and immobile cadres.

Health insurance examination and treatment has some indicators that have increased significantly; always ensuring enough medicine and medical supplies for examination and treatment, ensuring the rights of patients.

Organized vacations and health check-ups for 56 former cadres under the management of the Politburo , Secretariat, and Provincial Party Standing Committee. The Health Care and Prevention Boards of districts, towns, and cities have been strengthened, adjusted, and supplemented; funds have been allocated to conduct periodic health check-ups for cadres under management, which have received more attention than before.

Implementing the guidance of the Central Organizing Committee to deploy and implement the work of health care and protection in 2025, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee coordinated with relevant agencies to effectively implement the plan for periodic health check-ups and the plan for vacation in 2025; visit and monitor the health at home for retired senior officials with serious illnesses; conduct periodic health check-ups to serve the work of party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

Concluding the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, Head of the Provincial Health Care Committee Phan Van Phung affirmed the effectiveness of the Provincial Health Care Committee in the past time in taking care of the health of cadres. The Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee will develop a plan and draft regulations on coordination of activities between the committee and agencies, and study to rename the Provincial Health Care Department appropriately. In the new situation, with the coordination of relevant agencies, the work of taking care of the health of cadres in particular and the people in general needs to continue to be maintained and implemented better.
