On the afternoon of December 3, at the National Assembly House, the Party Cell of the General Department held a conference to review the Party's work in 2025. Member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary, Secretary General of the National Assembly, and Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh attended the conference.

The report at the conference showed that the Party cell's cadres and party members always uphold the sense of responsibility, pioneering spirit, exemplary spirit and efforts to achieve work goals associated with the duties and tasks of Party members. In particular, the Party members who are former leaders of the Party, State, and leaders of the National Assembly Office, although having high requirements for work quality, are always close, share information and experience, convey new spirit, enthusiasm, determination and promptly encourage Party members and civil servants of the Party cell to successfully complete assigned political tasks.

The unit has received and processed more than 3,000 documents; advised and served 3 National Assembly sessions (1 irregular session, 2 regular sessions); 23 meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee; 2 Conferences of full-time National Assembly Deputies; more than 200 activities, 150 speeches of National Assembly leaders meeting and working at ministries, branches, localities, agencies and organizations; 12 meetings of National Assembly leaders; advised on the issuance of 21 Notices of conclusions of the National Assembly Chairman and Vice Chairmen, 8 Reports to the Central Party Office on monthly work situation; 11 documents assigning the implementation of key conclusion notices to agencies under the National Assembly bloc.

In addition, preside over and advise the National Assembly Standing Committee to issue Resolution 90 amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Working Regulations of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Resolution 91 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution No. 31/2023 stipulating and guiding a number of provisions of the Internal Regulations of the National Assembly Session. Coordinate in developing the Coordination Regulations between the Secretary General of the National Assembly, the Head of the National Assembly Office with the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly Committees. Complete the consolidation of 162 legal documents (a large increase in volume compared to previous years), update 4 legal codes many times; build 1 new Trade Union topic; build 10 National Assembly Activity Newsletters.

Party building work has been strengthened and achieved positive results. Political awareness, ethics, lifestyle, organizational sense, discipline, sense of responsibility and efforts of each cadre and party member have been raised.

Regarding the direction and key tasks for 2026, the Party Cell of the General Department identified that leading the implementation of political tasks is the key. Specifically, leading and directing the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of the National Assembly Office for the 2025-2030 term, and the Resolution of the Party Cell Congress for the 2025-2027 term.

At the same time, maximum focus will be placed on particularly important political tasks taking place in early 2026 such as: the 14th National Party Congress; the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the National Assembly; the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The Party Cell also determined to strengthen leadership in political and ideological work; proactively grasp the ideological situation, aspirations and recommendations of Party members and civil servants. Thoroughly grasp and require all Party members to fully attend meetings and study the Resolution of the Central Committee. Organize regular Party Cell meetings and thematic meetings on time, especially innovate the way of thematic meetings to contribute to innovation and improve the quality of Party Cell meetings.

Speaking at the Conference, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Office, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan highly appreciated the activities of the Party Cell of the General Department in the past time, which have achieved very positive results. The Draft Report also fully demonstrated the political tasks assigned to the Party Cell by the National Assembly Leaders and the National Assembly Office Leaders.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan pointed out that in 2025, the General Department had a change in organizational structure by merging the General Department and the Secretariat Department, but right from the first days after the merger, the General Department had promoted good traditions and combined new initiatives, so the tasks assigned to the Party Cell were all completed well, recognized by the National Assembly leaders, the National Assembly Office and the National Assembly deputies. The Party Cell's coordination and advisory work was carried out methodically and actively. Party members in the Party Cell were also very united, always supporting each other, promoting each person's strengths to effectively carry out the work.

Overview of the Conference

In the coming time, in the context of the National Assembly entering a new term, the tasks of the Party Cell of the General Affairs Department are very heavy. Emphasizing this, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan stated that Party members in the Party Cell need to continue to make efforts and try their best to better fulfill the assigned tasks. At the same time, further promote the spirit of solidarity of Party members in the Party Cell; boldly set targets in the coming years to admit new Party members.

At the Conference, Party members of the Party Cell discussed and contributed opinions on the draft Report summarizing the work in 2025 and the direction and tasks in 2026 of the Party Cell and the draft Report on collective review of the Party Cell Committee in 2025.

Next, the Conference conducted a secret ballot on the evaluation and classification of party members in 2025.
