Top schools with super low benchmark scores, 14 points can still pass

Besides many universities having high admission scores, in the 2024 admissions season, some universities set their cut-off scores at only 14-15 points. This means that each candidate only needs to achieve 5 points per subject to have a chance of being admitted to university.

One of the universities with low admission scores is Tien Giang University . This year, out of 17 training programs, the university has 14 programs with an admission score of 15 points: Finance and Banking, Economics , Food Technology, Animal Husbandry, etc.

At Quang Nam University, the admission score for Information Technology, English Language, Plant Protection, and Vietnamese Studies (Culture - Tourism) is 14, meaning candidates only need to achieve an average of 4.6 points per subject (or lower if they have priority points).

In 2024, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology set a common admission score of 14 points for 16 out of 17 training majors (except for Pharmacy, which required 21 points). Among these, many majors are considered popular, such as Law, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and English Language.

Thanh Dong University (Hai Duong) has set its admission cutoff scores at 14-21 points based on the 2024 high school graduation exam results. Among these, the Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy majors have the highest cutoff score at 21 points.

Following closely behind are Nursing, Nutrition, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Medical Imaging Technology with 19 points. The remaining 19 out of 25 majors have a cutoff score of 14, applicable to all subject combinations.

The admission scores for Can Tho University range from 15 to 28.43 points, with the highest score being for the History Education major.

The majors with the lowest admission scores belong to the Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries group, such as Aquaculture, Fisheries Management, Agronomy, Animal Husbandry... (all 15 points).

Kien Giang University has set the admission scores for Biotechnology at 14; Crop Science, Animal Husbandry, and Agricultural Business at 14.25; and Business Administration at 14.95.
