The resolution, passed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, stipulates clear support levels for various types of trade promotion activities. Accordingly, each program bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas and export processing zones/industrial parks will receive a maximum support of 150 million VND. Domestic trade fairs, exhibitions, trade weeks, industry festivals, and events promoting OCOP products will receive 50% of their funding, up to a maximum of 20 million VND per program or group of activities with high frequency and directly linked to consumer demand.
Notably, the entire cost of organizing the supply-demand connection conference will be fully covered by the budget (based on the results of the bidding process or approved quotations). This policy aims to strengthen regional linkages and expand markets for key local agricultural and food products.

For overseas trade promotion activities, the resolution stipulates support levels based on program scale: Delegations participating in international trade fairs and exhibitions receive support ranging from 200 to 300 million VND per program; international trade promotion conferences for key export sectors may receive support up to 2 billion VND.
Besides directly supporting promotional activities, Ho Chi Minh City also allocates funds for media publications, market database development, and training of personnel working in trade promotion, with amounts ranging from 100 to 700 million VND depending on the content. These expenditures aim to standardize market information, improve the quality of human resources, and increase the effectiveness of the long-term promotion strategy.

Representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee stated that the city expects this Resolution, once implemented, to help remove financial barriers for businesses, encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to participate more actively in promotional activities, thereby expanding domestic distribution channels and bringing Vietnamese goods closer to export markets. Clearly quantifying support is also seen as a practical step to increase transparency and effectiveness in policy implementation.
