On this occasion, the People's Committee of Hai Chau Ward (Da Nang City) also presented meaningful gifts to the 6 students who are being sponsored by the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port.
It is known that, from 2016 to the present, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port has sponsored 7 students with particularly difficult circumstances in Thanh Binh and Thuan Phuoc (formerly) wards, now Hai Chau ward, with an annual budget of nearly 18 million VND.
These are children with good conduct and above-average or excellent academic performance, including one who has graduated from high school and passed the entrance exam to the University of Technology - Da Nang University.
Lieutenant Colonel Van Duc Truong, Political Commissar of the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command, said that in recent times, officers and soldiers in the unit have voluntarily saved their salaries and allowances, increased production, and contributed monthly to fundraise aimed at helping disadvantaged students in the area to have more strength to strive, become good children and good students, and useful members of society.
