DNO - On September 3 and 4, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port (Border Guard of Da Nang City) organized a gift-giving ceremony for sponsored students under the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of border guards" on the occasion of the new school year.

Accordingly, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port has presented 6 gifts including cash and school supplies; and mobilized benefactors to present gifts to 6 students sponsored under the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of border guards".

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Hai Chau Ward (Da Nang City) also had meaningful gifts for 6 students sponsored by the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command.

It is known that from 2016 to present, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang port has sponsored 7 students with especially difficult circumstances in Thanh Binh ward, Thuan Phuoc (old) now Hai Chau ward with a budget of nearly 18 million VND/year.

These are children with good conduct, good and excellent academic performance, one of whom has graduated from high school and passed the entrance exam to the University of Science and Technology - Danang University.

Lieutenant Colonel Van Duc Truong, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port, said that recently, officers and soldiers in the unit have voluntarily saved their salaries, allowances, increased production, raised funds, etc. to contribute monthly with the aim of helping disadvantaged students in the area have more determination to rise up, become good children, good students, and useful people for society.
