Over 1,000 people experience firefighting and rescue practice

(KGO) - The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Kien Giang Provincial Police organized a propaganda program and practical experience in fire fighting and rescue throughout the province.

During the two days of organization, the program attracted over 1,000 students, teachers, workers, civil servants, small traders, production and business households... to participate. In addition to the legal knowledge disseminated in each program, people were also instructed on measures to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety and escape skills in case of fire or explosion incidents at their homes, workplaces, residential areas, dormitories and crowded places.

People are also introduced to and have practical access to specialized vehicles such as fire trucks, ladder trucks, etc. and directly participate in practice and experience situations such as using portable fire extinguishers to handle gas leaks; spreading fire hoses; spraying water to target areas; escaping from high places using ropes and ladder trucks; and first aid for victims.

The content of propaganda and dissemination of legal knowledge on fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue is close, practical, effective, vivid and close to the real situation so that each individual can apply it flexibly and effectively in fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue, helping people change their behavior, not to be negligent or subjective in preventing fire and explosion incidents.

The program helps people improve their knowledge in fire and explosion prevention and how to use on-site fire fighting equipment and escape skills to protect their lives and property, their families and society. From there, each individual is more proactive in handling situations when a new fire breaks out, contributing to limiting the spread of fire and large fires causing serious damage.
