"October - Digital Consumption Month" is an activity aimed at benefiting the people. People are able to enjoy the practical results that digital transformation brings.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Government Office has issued document No. 7712/VPCP-KSTT conveying the opinion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh regarding the organization of the National Digital Transformation Day in 2023. The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Information and Communications to take the lead and coordinate with the Government Office to develop the program and operational plan for the National Digital Transformation Day in 2023, scheduled for October 10, 2023.

According to Decision No. 505/QD-TTg (dated April 22, 2022) of the Prime Minister, October 10th of each year is the National Digital Transformation Day. The National Digital Transformation Day is held annually to accelerate the implementation of national digital transformation tasks, effectively implement the National Digital Transformation Program until 2025, with a vision to 2030; and raise awareness among the entire society about the role, significance, and benefits of digital transformation. Simultaneously, it aims to promote the participation of the entire political system, synchronized action at all levels, and the participation of the whole population to ensure the success of digital transformation. The theme of the 2023 National Digital Transformation Day is “Leveraging Digital Data to Create Value”.

According to Nguyen Phu Tien, Deputy Director of the National Digital Transformation Department (Ministry of Information and Communications), in October 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications launched "October - Digital Consumption Month". This is an annual activity, starting in 2022, as part of the Action Month in response to the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10th each year. "October - Digital Consumption Month" is an activity aimed at benefiting the people. People will enjoy the practical results that digital transformation brings. Businesses (both domestic and foreign) strive to move their production and business activities to the digital environment; build digital platforms to serve the people; provide digital products and services to meet social needs; and implement preferential policies to encourage people to use digital products and services. Community digital technology groups strive to "go door-to-door, guide each person" on how to use online services, shop online, make online payments, and protect themselves from risks and dangers in the digital environment.

The Ministry of Information and Communications is launching "October - Digital Consumption Month," in response to the National Digital Transformation Day.

According to representatives from the National Digital Transformation Agency, the "October - Digital Consumption Month" of 2023 has attracted more than 80 businesses in 12 sectors. Notably, many businesses have implemented incentive programs in response to the National Digital Transformation Day well in advance of October 2023, and some programs have extended the impact of the National Digital Transformation Day beyond October 2023. The Ministry of Information and Communications will continue to receive information from businesses on implementing incentive policies for the consumption of digital products and services in 2023, and will regularly publicize and update the list of digital consumption incentive policies submitted by businesses on the National Digital Transformation Portal https://dx.gov.vn and inform the public.
